About Frederick Allen

Frederick L. Allen is a distinguished workshop clinician, lecturer, consultant, mentor, and media personality. His diverse skill set includes roles as a Minister, Musician, Singer, Author, and Death Care Professional. He currently serves as the Minister of Music and Arts at the Historic Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church in Wadesboro, NC.

In the summer, he takes on the role of clinician for the HOLLA! Summer Music Program in Morven, NC, as well as the Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church Summer Enrichment program in Wadesboro, NC.

Frederick began his musical journey at the age of five when he started playing the piano. He later became the minister of music under the mentorship of Reverend Dr. B. W. Freeman, the late Reverend Bennie Gaddy, and Reverend Jerome Johnson. He attended Central High School in Pageland, SC, where he was active in the marching band, concert band, pep band, and concert choir, including the honors choir known as EAGLETONES. In his junior and senior years, he served as the drum major for the Marching Eagle Band and also as a student piano accompanist for the concert choir.

Allen, a licensed and ordained minister, has devoted numerous years to serving the Christian community across a range of denominations, including Baptist, AME Zion, Presbyterian, COGIC, and Mt. Calvary Holy Churches. He currently serves as the Minister of Music & Arts at the Historic Ebenezer Missionary Baptist Church located in Wadesboro, North Carolina.

His educational background includes studies at Livingstone College in Salisbury, NC, the Professional Career Development Institute (Ashworth College) in Norcross, GA, and Liberty University in Lynchburg, VA. With 30 years of experience in marketing, Allen is also a member of the Anson County Historical Society in Wadesboro, NC, where he made history as the first African American to serve as secretary of the board. Furthermore, he is actively involved in the Anson County Branch of the NAACP, where he chairs the Juneteenth Celebration and the Annual Freedom Fund. He has previously served as an Executive Board Member of the Rhythm of Gospel Awards in Jacksonville, FL, and was recognized as the 2024 VIBE5 Awards Graphic Designer of the Year.
